BBQ Duck Bacon Smashburger

BBQ Duck Smashburger

Duck, Duck, and Duck! This burger is full of different cuts of duck. Make the patty with panko, Ground Duck and some garlic for an extra hint of flavor. Top it off with some griddle cooked Duck Bacon, cheese and your favorite BBQ sauce and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 12 oz. Ground Duck

  • 4 slices Duck bacon

  • ΒΌ Cup Panko

  • 3 Cloves Garlic, Minced

  • 4 Slices American Cheese

  • 2 Brioche Buns

  • Kosher Salt to taste

  • Kosher Salt to taste

  • 2 Tbsp. BBQ Sauce

  • Equipment: Parchment Paper and a weight

    Preheat your griddle to medium high heat.

    Combine Ground Duck, panko, and minced garlic. Season with salt and pepper.

    Divide into 4 even round balls.

    Place duck bacon on the griddle and cook for 1-2 minutes per side.

    Place each ground duck ball on the griddle, cover with parchment paper, and smash with a weight.

    Let cook for 2-3 minutes then flip and top with a slice of cheese and cook for 1-2 more minutes. Repeat for each burger.

    While burgers rest, toast buns in the duck burger fat for 1 minute per side.

    Assemble burgers with 2 smash patties per burger. Add one duck bacon slices cut and half nestled between the patties. Place barbecue sauce and the other duck bacon slice cut in half on the top patty and top with bun.
