Duck Sausage Bruschetta

Duck sausage bruschetta

These quick and easy appetizers are perfect for any occasion -- use Duck Sausage, Duck Leg Confit or Roast Half Duck meat to dress them up.

Ingredients

    1 lb. Maple Leaf Farms All Natural Ground Duck Sausage*, thawed

  • 2

    1/2 cup Olive Oil, divided

  • 3

    24 slices (1/4 inch thick) French Bread Baguette

  • 4

    1/4 cup Pureed Garlic

  • 5

    3/4 cup Feta Cheese, crumbled

  • 6

    1 jar (12 oz.) Roasted Red Bell Peppers, drained and cut into thin strips

    1 Tbsp. Finely Chopped Fresh Parsley

Directions

    Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

    Cook sausage in a skillet over medium heat until just slightly browned; stir frequently to crumble. Remove from heat and set aside.

    Brush 1/4 cup of the olive oil over bread slices; arrange in a single layer on cookie or baking sheets.

    Spread garlic puree over slices; top with cheese, bell pepper strips and sausage. Drizzle remaining 1/4 cup oil over bruschetta.

    Bake 6-8 minutes, or until hot.

    Garnish with parsley, serve and enjoy.

*Serving suggestion: Swap out the Ground Duck Sausage meat for Duck Leg Confit or Roast Half Duck meat to dress up these appetizers.
