Duck Noodle Soup

This soup features tender pieces of duck meat served in a flavorful broth with noodles, offering a comforting and hearty meal. The combination of broth, duck, and noodles offers a delicious balance of flavors and textures that is both comforting and nourishing.

Ingredients

  • 8 Cups Water

  • 1 Tbsp. Ginger, sliced

  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced

  • ½ tsp. 5 Spice Seasoning

  • ½ tsp. White Pepper

  • 1 tsp. Salt

  • 1/2 tsp. Sesame Oil

  • 1 Tbsp. Rice Wine

  • 1 Tbsp. Soy Sauce

  • 1 Pack Egg Noodles

  • Bok Choy for garnish

  • Scallions, sliced for garnish

  • Hot Chili sauce for garnish

    In a large pot, add roast half duck and cover with water. Add ginger, garlic, five spice, white pepper, salt, sesame oil, rice wine vinegar, and soy sauce. Bring to a boil then lower to simmer for 1 hour.

    Remove roast half duck and let cool. Slice breast and shred leg meat.

    Bring broth to a boil and cook egg noodles. Remove noodles and divide into serving bowls. Bring broth back to a simmer. Optional: Blanch Bok choy garnish in broth for several minutes.

    To serving bowls evenly divide duck, egg noodles, boy choy, scallions, and chili sauce. Pour broth over bowls and serve immediate.
