Youth Culinary Team Wins With Duck
Maple Leaf Farms recently donated duck breast to a culinary team affiliated with Colorado-based Youthentity, which offers career development opportunities that feature interactive, hands-on experiences in culinary arts, veterinary science, and more. The Youthentity culinary team was among 30 Colorado high schools competing in the ProStart Student Invitational & Sysco Denver Hospitality Cup Competition.
The team earned a silver award for their menu, which featured Pan-Roasted Maple Leaf Farms Duck Breast served with Duck Fat Clearwater Sunchokes and Hazel Dell Forest Mix Mushrooms with Petite Peas and Sage Duck Chicharrones. The contest prizes included scholarships awarded by state and national post-secondary schools.
