Duck Tenders and Fries

We are swapping duck for chicken to create crispy Duck Tenders & Fries. This recipe is a great introduction to duck for kids or first time duck eaters. Panko crusted Duck Breast strips are paired with Duck Fat fries to create an easy weeknight meal for after school.

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. Duck Fat

  • 3 Cups Frozen French Fries

  • ½ Cup Flour

  • 2 Eggs

  • 1 Cup Panko Breadcrumbs

  • 1 tsp. Paprika

  • 1 tsp. Garlic Powder

  • ½ tsp. Salt

  • ½ tsp. Pepper

    Preheat oven and air fryer to 400 degrees F.

    Carefully Remove skin off duck breast and slice into ½ in thick strips. Season duck strips with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

    Whisk two eggs in a bowl and place flour and panko in separate bowls. Dip duck strips into flour, egg, then panko.

    Oven: Place on a wire rack on a pan and bake duck strips for 20 minutes at 400 degrees flipping halfway through.

    Air-fryer: Place in air fryer basket and bake for 15 minutes or until internal temperature reaches at least 165 degrees F.

    In separate air-fryer basket, add 1 Tbsp. Duck Fat and fry store bought French fries for 10 minutes or according to packaging directions.

    Serve Duck Tenders and fries together. Pro tip: bake the skin and turn it into cracklings to crumble on top of your fries. Find the recipe below.
