Duck Fat Toast

Rendered Duck Fat

We like to call Duck Fat here at Maple Leaf Farms our "liquid gold". Duck fat goes great on everything, including your favorite bread! Take simple toast or crostini to the next level of flavor with this recipe.

Ingredients

    2-3 Tbsp. of Duck Fat brought to room temperature

  • 2

    1 baguette - we recommend ciabatta or a demi

  • 3

    Sea salt

  • 4

    Freshly ground pepper

  • 5

    Jams or spreads to serve on the side

Directions

    Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

  • 2

    Slice baguette into 1/2" slices.

  • 3

    Brush both sides of the bread slices with Duck Fat and place on pan.

  • 4

    Bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.

  • 5

    Lightly season with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper.

  • 6

    Serve with your favorite jam or spreads on the side. We recommend smashed avocado or a bruschetta mix.
