WNDU Reporter Cooks with Duck
Reporter Melissa Stephens tried her hand at cooking duck Wednesday morning on WNDU 16 Morning News Now with the help of the Maple Leaf Farms #WorkFromHomeDuck video series. In three separate segments beginning at 5:45 a.m., Stephens interviewed marketing manager Olivia Tucker, cooked a duck patty melt and then prepared duck bacon.
Stephens had this to say about the duck bacon:
"This is way better than turkey bacon. This is comparable to pork bacon -- really good!"
News anchor Tricia Sloma commented that some people say the taste of duck is very flavorful and that she might be interested in trying duck bacon in the near future.
Here's hoping a number of their viewers change up their menu for Easter and serve duck for the holiday!
