Position: Service Specialist

Location: Leesburg, IN- Corporate Office

Reports To: Customer Service Manager

Position Duties:

  • Communicates delivery of product to customer, rescheduling delivery and arranging storage when necessary
  • Forwards requests for product development (contact name, company) to Marketing Department
  • Corresponds with others requesting product related information and other necessary paperwork
  • Receives calls relating to customer complaints; determines solution to complaint and responds in a professional and timely manner to customer
  • Mails recipes to customers upon request
  • Answers questions regarding product nutrition, preparation, etc. (includes brokers, chefs, consumers, etc.)
  • Contacts customers to perform suggestive selling and issues reminder of order deadline
  • Continues to update technical knowledge of products, services, pricing, and communicates this to brokers and customers
  • Remains abreast of governmental regulations, including Food Safety & Inspection Service, USDA regulations and, where applicable, import/export regulations.
  • Provides feedback to Marketing regarding product promotions
  • Works with Export Specialist and Labeling Administrator on country requirements through the customer for product specifications, labeling, etc.
  • Performs several different types of administrative duties
  • Performs related duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Progressive related experience in Customer Service
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and problem solving in a timely manner
  • Attention to detail and ability to accurately report information
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in written form, with a variety of individuals and situations
  • Working knowledge of computers, including, but not limited to, word processing spreadsheets, and databases
  • Mandarin Language skills a plus
  • Previous knowledge of the food industry is helpful
